Originally conceived in 2003 for a solo exhibition at the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art in Kansas City, "The Attenders" consists of more than 5 million feet of monofilament wire (fishing line). It was acquired by the Progressive Corporation in 2004 and reconfigured over the years, evolving from its original location in their Phoenix call center to its present location in the entrance of their call center in Tampa, FL.
